Watermark type A: in the first and last third of the volume, Name J. Whatman, approx. 21 x 130 mm
Watermark type B: in the central third of the volume, Letters E and P and the date 1795 below the letters, approx. 36 x 75 mm
Red Morocco leather on pasteboard with a single fillet lines, gold stamped on the outer edges of the four borders of upper and lower covers; spine is divided into 6 panels which are separtated in single fillet lines, gold stamped; gold graphed; pastedowns of marble paper.
