Dark red calf leather gold tooled with two concentric panels and decorated with fine curved line and dots, same pattern in both upper and lower covers; inner panel has a roll of waves and dots facing centre of panel, and has a tulip piece stamped in four outer corners; outer panel has richly ornate outer corners and two types of floral design in centre of four sides of panel; there is a double fillet, gold stamped at edge of borders of covers; spine is divided into seven panels, each of which is decorated with an ornate border, and a central four petal flower; head and tail of spine has a wave and dot pattern, all gold stamped; centre of upper cover's central panel has a large figure '2' written in black ink. |
