Watermark: Arms of Amsterdam, lions standing on ornate double bars, with monogram JB below the double bars, 108 x 108 mm, (pasted drawings, ff 38, 40 and 41)

Countermark: Letters PDB, 12 x 48 mm

Watermark: Strasbourg lily, i.e. fleur de lis within shield and insignia 4WR suspended from the shield, 135 x 68 mm (pasted drawings)

Professional fair copy in cursive script

Brown calf on pasteboards, gold stamped with a double panel in the centre of upper and lower covers; concentric panels are enmarked by double fillets lines; inner panel has a delicate floral roll of flowers, leaves and buds around its inner border; outer panel has an ornamental floral stamped on its 4 outer corners; there is a double fillet lines on outer borders of both covers; edges of binding are gold stamped with a fine scroll roll; spine is divided into 7 panels, which are enmarked by gold stamped double fillet lines; at head of spine a black leather label is gold stamped with letters 'a.s.', a similar black leather label at tail of spine is gold stamped with letter 'D' and numbers '1495'.
