Sends New Year greetings to the duke and Mr Flower; refers to an account from Holland about Mr Bentinck's match, who has an inheritance worth £9,000 per year and an allience with a Prince of the Empire by her mother's side; discusses his Aunt Portland's satisfaction at seeing her son marry so well [Jane Martha Bentinck, dowager Duchess of Portland]. Encloses a poem based on a petition to Lord Falmouth by a voter at Tregony described as 'a piece of Cornish Wit' [not present] Date: Letter is dated 4 January 1732 [old style].
