Content Description | States that Henry Duke of Beaufort gave all the furniture in his messuages and houses in the counties of Gloucester and Monmouth to his son Henry [Somerset-Scudamore], Marquess of Worcester [later 3rd Duke of Beaufort]; states that he gave all the furniture in his messuages and houses in London and Middlesex, as well as the remainder of his personal estate, to his wife Mary.
States that the duke's manors, lands and hereditaments in the counties of Southampton, Devon and Dorset are to be vested in Trustees to be sold to pay any debts; the surplus to be used for land in the counties of Gloucester, Hereford and Monmouth, to go to his wife Mary for life, then to his son Charles Noel Somerset [later 4th Duke of Somerset] and his male heirs, and in the absence of heirs to go to his aforementioned son Henry and his heirs.
