Verso: records William's march from Exeter to Honiton on 1 Dec. and on to Axminster; reports the arrival there of Grafton, Churchill and Berkeley to join him from the king's army; reports that Bentinck was sent with a detachment of cavalry to Wincanton to find that the king [James II] had already retreated from Salisbury and was on his way back to London; records William's march to Crewkerne and on to Sherbourne where he was welcomed by the Earl of Bristol and other local nobility.
