Uses code names; comments on the queen's [Mary of Modena] condition; refers to the relationship between Burnet and the Prince of Orange [later William III]; discusses support in the country for the proposed repeal of the Test Acts and [false] reports of the Prince of Orange's support for this measure; refers to conditions for the issuing of writs for elections imposed by the Test Act; describes 'Harris' [Halifax] as the 'oracle' for the London clergy who in turn govern the clergy throughout the kingdom; notes criticism of the king's [James II] proposal to give the Guildhall chapel to dissenters.
