Content Description	Acknowledges Bentinck's letter from Clomel [Clonmel] received that morning; refers to strong and unfavourable wind which prevented them setting sail the previous day and uncertainty as to whether they will set sail that day; refers to three packets from England with many letters for Bentinck; notes that Sir R. Southwell has sent Clerk the necessary provisions so that, provided the weather is favourable the army will not lack bread. Expresses concern for the fleet, at sea during the tempest; refers to the defeat of the Duke of Savoy as a terrible setback. In post script complains of false rumours being spread by [Mme de 's-Gravenmoer]; gives orders that her husband should stop writing such lies and prevent his wife from spreading them.
