Hopes that Sir Edward has recovered from gout and gives news of his own and his cousin Foley's health; complains that there are only two oxen and the white cow left and reports that 'beif they say is now at 4d a pound in this country'; sends his affectionate wishes to his brother and sister.
This letter is undated, the range provided is based on the adult lifespan of Sir E. Harley after being knighted in 1660.
