Date29 August 1713

Content DescriptionHas heard that Harley does not wish the Bis. of Winchester to meet with any 'opposition' at East Loo; says that whilst he had formed an opposition which would have given him a majority, he will desist in obedience to Harley's request; suspects that the members which the Bishop will recommend will not be better than his own; thanks Harley for thinking that he acts for the 'satisfaction of doing well' rather than in return for favour.
