Discusses the details of his case; comments on the 'long time I have been confin'd'; wishes to be tried for the crimes of which he is suspected; says that he will accept punishment if found guilty by a court; says that he has been unable to produce an order from the Court of France or provide details of his negotiations in Scotland as neither ever existed; has been told that he could be tried in a Martial Court for entering England without a pass; says that Mr Lewis has calmed his 'troubled mind' somewhat; hopes that he will be allowed to teach as he is now in financial need.
