Comments on rumours that there has been a 'general action' between King Charles [XII of Sweden?] and the Duke of Anjou; requests that Stanhope confirm this; reports that Prince Eugene has 'routed' the Duke of Orleans and hopes that Stanhope can confirm this; instructs Stanhope as to how to proceed in the matter of Serongmo? Clifford; says that he will send the relevant documents.
This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford.
