Content DescriptionBelieves that the States are 'very sollicitous in this affair of Munster'; says that they will 'run all hazards to support the Pretenders of the Bp of Padderborne'; says that this is not a good time to enter into a dispute and advises Stanhope to prevent any 'mischief'; states that contrary winds are still preventing the sailing of the fleet; reports that the States have sent orders to their envoy to return to Vienna in order to attempt a renewal of the treaty with the 'Hungarian'; says that Mr Stepney has directions to 'joyne with him' in case he may succeed; encloses an extract of a letter [not present] from Mr Shepherd; says that he is a 'great merchant' and a 'leading man' in the East India Company'; recommends him to Stanhope's care.
