Comments on the progress of the embarkation of the 'foot' and Dragoons; has received the unfortunate news of the death of their ambassador Methuen at Lisbon; hopes that Lord Galway can 'supply that defect' although he cannot leave the army now it is at Madrid.
This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford.
