Content DescriptionHopes that Stanhope has begun negotiations with the guarantors of the Treaty of Travendahl as this may be the only way to prevent the use of force in the 'affair of Lübeck'; believes that the ministers of the Elector of Brunswig [Brunswick], Sweden and Prussia share this opinion; sends extracts [not present] of reports from Portugal; says that Lord Galway is 'like to recover' and that the miscarriage of Mr Fagel is not to be conceded or passed over'.
