Content Description	Discusses the particulars of the renewal of the Berlin Treaty; thinks that it is a good bargain and authorises Stanhope to sign the renewal of the treaty as soon as it is offered; believes that it is not probable that the treaty will be renewed until the King of Prussia (with the assistance of Lord Marlborough) has negotiated with the Emperor; encloses a copy [not present] of a letter from the queen to the Administrator of Holstein; believes that the States hold a very similar view; says that he has made an excuse as to why the minister for Sweden was not invited to a conference of the guarantors of the treaty of Travendahl; thanks Stanhope for the news that Barcelona has been taken; relays instructions as to Stanhope's discussions with the Pensionary relative to Portugal. Old Style dating on letter. This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford.
