Content DescriptionAcknowledges receipt of Stanhope's letters but has not yet seen the queen to be given new orders; congratulates Stanhope on the recall of Mr Fagall; believes that they should all do their 'utmost' to preserve the union between 'England and the States General' as it is 'so absolutly necessary for our mutual safety'.says that Mr Vryberge and Count Briancan are due to see the queen the following day to discuss a matter relative to the 'operations of ye Fleet'; encloses extracts [not present] from Sir W[illia]m Hodges regarding the 'relief of yt ships'; encloses a document [not present] which provides the names of two persons who are to enter Holland to 'obstruct our project of having Bills paid in ready mony'; instructs Stanhope to 'obviate their desires'.

This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford.
