Content DescriptionHas shown Stanhope's latest letter to the queen; says that there are no new instructions for him; states that Mr Vryberge is 'going over for six weeks' and that he has spoken fully to him regarding Algers; says that Lord Carmarthen is to 'observe Dunkirk'; asks Stanhope to make the arrangements; refers to the discussions over Dutch ships; is afraid that despite the reports from Vienna the Emperor is 'very far from being out of danger'; sends a rough draft of questions [not present] to be presented to the Pensionary with regard to the envoy ambassador who is to work with Mr Amets; asks Stanhope to check the document carefully to see whether it has been 'truly copied from my own bad hand'; says that he will redo the document if necessary; says that 'our merchants' have reason to think themselves obliged to Stanhope about 'Lurken'.

This document has been identified as being in the hand of Robert Harley, 1st Earl of Oxford.
