Content DescriptionHas acquainted the queen of the 'good success'; hopes that this bodes well for the 'ensuing campaign'; hopes that Stanhope can use this to England's advantage and press the 'States' to increase their 'marine preparations'; expresses his desire that this may lead to an 'end to this warr in a lasting peace'; will not repeat any orders previously sent as Stanhope has 'our oracle' the Duke of Marlborough with him; relays the queen's directions that the English fleet should be prepared to sail in three weeks; instructs Stanhope to press the issue with the 'States'; says that the Marquis of Carmarthen has arrived and 'take's no notice of any action he in his return with any French ships'.
