Content DescriptionHas laid the Mayor's petition before the Queen who is 'pleased with your zeal for the Publick Peace'; wishes the mayor and aldermen to do their 'utmost according to the law' for the purpose of maintaining the 'Publick Peace'; says that the mayor is to inform one of the Secretaries of State if he sees a public official who is not adequately performing his duties; orders the Mayor to inform the Lord Lieutenant if he discovers anyone present 'at the election in your city' (in nine days time) who has no right to be there and is likely to 'promise tumults'; commands that public notice be given of this communication.
