Confesses 'at the place of execution' to the theft from and rape and murder of a woman; explains how he came to steal a mare (for which he was condemned); says that he understands that his wife is in labour and that it is 'a sad thing to have a child born this day, and the father hanged the same day'; advises others against his lifestyle; blames it on alcohol and his lack of attendance at church; confesses to horse theft and another murder.
