Content Description
Acknowledges that the recipient has been unable to 'make my nephew a Commissioner'; asks if a 'subordinate office in the Commission' may be found for him; says that Sir Cyrill Wich and Mr Thomas Rawlins have promised their favour to his nephew; says that this is his dying wish.
The writer signs himself 'Granvill' and addressed the letter to 'Dear son'; it has been assumed that the letter is from John Granville [1st Earl of Bath] to his son Charles Granville [2nd Earl of Bath].
