Explains that he writes little because Sir Philip Medows never fails to provide all necessary details; says that he is ready to serve in Vienna at any time; discusses in detail the changes in the ministry; comments on the argument over whether Cardinal Grimani should be made Viceroy of Naples; discusses the conduct of the Hungarians; does not understand that they 'will not hear of Peace, and yet they are afraid to make war'; says that they harass the Imperial troops, but are unlikely to obtain their aims by this fashion; mentions the rumour that Count Gallas is to be made President of the Chamber.
