Content DescriptionDiscusses the situation in Turkey with regard to the French and to 'Hungarian Male Contents'; reports that the French are supporting the Hungarians; believes that the French will 'prolong the rebellion' as long as it suits its purpose before leaving the Hungarians 'in the lurch'; comments on the recent deposition of Achmet Pasha Kaleilicos and his replacement by the present vizir Ibrahim Pasha; discusses the character of Ibrahim Pasha; comments on the influence of the French over the Turkish government and the underhand way in which they obtained it; reports on the movement of a Muscovite Garrison; comments on the contradictory instructions coming from Vizir Cliem as to whether Monsieur Desalleur and his company will be granted passage through Hungary.
