Discusses the relations of the Northern powers and proposals by the English and French ambassadors to end a war which is damaging to the neutral powers and to the whole of Germany; notes the anxiety of certain German ministers in this respect and intrigues forming at the courts of Berlin, Cassel and Dresden; refers to secret correspondence between the Kings of Poland and Sweden; refers to the desirability of the Etats sending an ambassador to Vienna and the difficulty of finding a suitable person; records requests by Prussia in relation to the passage of French troops; confirms that the King of Sweden is negotiating with France in respect of the Duché de Deuxponts; refers to speculation following reports that the King of France is unhappy at the arrival of the Cardinal del [Guidici].
