Acknowledges receipt of Heels' letter and that of the Earl of Oxford; hopes England is convinced that they have put their affairs 'intirely in her [Queen Anne] hands'; says they are willing to 'signe the peace' with Her Majesty; says the French courier has returned; believes if the French show the same deference to Her Majesty as them, the French will make no more difficulties and 'remove those already made'; asks Heels to assure the Lord Treasurer that they will do all in their power to 'make an end of the warr'; says no-one can 'alter our sentiments on that head'.
