Encloses a letter [not present] relative to a situation about which Oxford asked him to contact the Pensionary; expresses his joy at the signing of the 'Barrier treaty' and the 'guarantie' [of the Protestant succession in England]; hopes that the 'forwardness expressd in Holland' will facilitate the restoration of confidence and correspondence between the first ministers of the 'two Nations'; encloses a letter [not present] from Lord Albermarle imploring Oxford's protection regarding the 'prolongation of his Pass'; asks for Oxford's orders or the return of the letters that he may answer them.
