Content Description
Writes that he had instructed his agent to tell Mr Wodehouse that he was prepared to take the business to arbitration; assumes that the duke is not happy with this offer; points out that previous purchasers of his property were happy to give the price asked without any valuation; mentions that he could have sold the stables for £700 two years before but was already in negotiations with the duke; agrees to take the rent at £35 p.a. and asks Mr Wodehouse to call on Mr Bristow to settle this; hopes this will be the end of a most distressing argument; vows never to negotiate without articles of agreement again.
