Content DescriptionGeneral account of the receipts and payments of the Marine Police Office on account of the Government and the West India Merchants, for the period 2 July 1798 to 20 August 1800 (when the Thames Police Office was established); includes full list of expenses among which are salaries paid to employees of the Marine Police Office.

Affidavit as to the veracity of the account, confirming that the vouchers and books were destroyed by a fire on 6 Oct. 1800 but that a previous statement in the hands of Patrick Colquhoun was the basis of this account; sworn by William Brooke, cashier, 21 May 1801.
