Content Description | Account of the receipts and payments of the Marine Police Office on account of the Government for the period 2 July 1798 to 20 August 1800 (when the Thames Police Office was established), including list of expenses among which are salaries paid to employees of the Marine Police Office.
Affidavit as to the veracity of the account, confirming that the net balance of £1471 6/- has been paid to Patrick Colquhoun; also that the vouchers and books were destroyed by fire on 6 Oct. 1800 but that a previous statement in the possession of Patrick Colquhoun is the basis for this account; sworn by William Brooke, cashier, 21 May 1801.
