Content DescriptionHas laid Hatton's letter and its enclosure before the commander in chief; informs Hatton that General Simcoe's troops are to be reinforced (following the request of the Duke of Portland) by the 29th regiment of foot together with 8 other troops; sends a memorandum of number of men which will now be in that quarter [not present]; adds that a copy of the Attorney General's opinion in the event of riots has been sent to General Simcoe and will be sent to the generals commanding the districts.
