Content DescriptionWrites to solicit the duke's help; explains that the Peace will seriously affect his circumstances; explains that he will now accept the post at St Vincent's if it is still available to him; asks the duke to intercede and persuade the king to allow him to keep his 'White Stick' until next April; expects that the duke will think he is being indecisive, but explains that he will be in a distressed position if his military endowments are taken away; hopes the king will understand his position; thanks the duke for his help.
