Explains that a number of riotous people have gathered together in this borough and have threatened farmers with regard to the prices of their foodstuffs; states that the undersigned [not present] protest against these 'illegal Proceedings', will assist the civil authorities whenever necessary, and will protect the farmers; they will sell at reasonable prices and will assist the 'orderly poor' in any suitable way they can.
