Content DescriptionExplains that a meeting was held in the hotel at Penzance with John Batten jnr, mayor of Penzance, as chairman on 17 April 1801; explains that it was agreed that the reduced prices of certain goods, including wheat, flour, barley and meat, were considered fair and reasonable; gives the maximum prices that farmers and butchers can ask for all these goods; lists the names of men who agreed to this motion at foot of document.
