Content DescriptionWrites that the day before he was at Welbeck, and reports that [the Countess of Oxford] is recovering from the pain in her head; has received Mr Stone's acquittances for the 'fee farm rents' due to Sir James Dashwood out of the countess's estates in Nottinghamshire, paid by Mr Smith of Nottingham for Mr Wenman; as Stone does not mentions these are fee farms, Briggs was ordered by the countess to let Barkley know of this immediately.
