Content Description
Regrets that he has to address Lord Robert on a pecuniary matter, but the 'critical situation' with the 'Morning Herald' makes it unavoidable; writes that more than £400 were due last Lady Day; comments that five times this amount would not repay the loss sustained from some 'unfavourable circumstances'; writes that the Stamp Office have laid a claim upon him for £2021 that needs to be paid within the week; therefore, is now forced to ask Lord Robert to immediately pay the arrears he owes; assures him that he would not have approached him on this matter had it not been of extreme importance and hopes he will co-operate.
