Reports that they have nearly finished the printing of the book; discusses the proof-reading of the dedication and title page; reports that Dr Hunter is very pleased with the work; mentions that the vines and 'Pines' are doing well in the garden; hopes the 20 rose buds for the Duchess and the 210 french beans sent that day arrive safely; reports on the health of the lettuce; adds in postscript that he has changed the book since the duke last read it and regrets that he did not have time to send it to the duke to check over.
