Content DescriptionEncloses the letter of Dr Hunter [Pl C 27/51]; had wanted to Hunter to answer his questions relating to the publication of his book and whether the title page should bear a note that the book is entered in Stationers Hall; Dr Hunter does not think that he should raise the price of the unsold copies; discusses the arrangements for the sale of these copies; for example, suggests that if duke agrees, Richard Chill will deliver the books 'for ready money' to various booksellers, who should not advertise the books at a higher price than originally.

Informs duke of the death of Dr Brown; received the duke's message via Mr Cleaver, and sent 'garden-stuff', fruit etc while Lord Bathurst was still at [Nether] Langwith; has only had one good pine recently; adds that the Honorable Booth Grey and 3 other gentlemen called a few days ago.
