Content DescriptionHas told the groom that the horses that are called Lord E[d]ward [Bentinck]'s are his [the duke's] and that he had kept them for the Lord; will settle wages; encloses Mr Nicolson's letter [Pl C 27/12] with one from each of the Mr Browns; is concerned about the expense of the Colliery as he knows there is just one small seam, although realises that if it could be taken without great expense it would be profitable to the tenants; gives details of some of the costs involved in repairing the Mill.
