Content DescriptionReports that Mr Fletcher of Whitwell was nominated a Commissioner for Hasland enclosure by one of the freeholders and Mr [George] Kelk was named by him [Cleaver] for the duke; hopes the duke will give neither of them up; will observe what the duke said with regard to Mr Barns, but 'how will that bee when the exchange is made with the Duke of Devonshire'; has not yet seen Mr Thomas Noon, but will tell him what the duke said about the horses; will send Ludock's calculations about the 'Walls' as soon as possible; writes that the duke has not lately sent him any directions about money; will begin to receive rents at Mansfield soon and will send the duke an account of this and will await further instructions.
