Content DescriptionHas received letters from Thomas and from Mr Cuttle; will send details of the poor recipients of 'my Lords Charity' by the next post; writes that Mr York was with him and some servants when they distrained Mr Abbis's goods from Kingston Wood and took his sheep to Wimpole; when orders were given to milk the cows so that they could be driven away Mr Abbis began to cry and agreed to give a bill of sale for payment of his arrears and his next rent.

States that he has now left the farm but his servants are continuing to tend the crops; the sale will take place on Lady Day; adds that Joseph Pain has viewed Mrs Baron's farm and that he has not spoken with him about Kingston Wood for a while.

Describes the conditions on which James Coale of Caldecot would agree to take Waller's farm and the offer which he [Cossen] made in return; adds that there was no agreement; suspects that he is playing Cossen off against Captain Hagar who has also offered him a tenancy; gives details of the state of health of 11 servants and neighbours.
