Reports that he reached London yesterday afternoon and met Mr Auditor with whom he had 2 close consultations; also settled a letter which had gone to Mr Walter by this night's post; Dixon does not know about the letter and because it is so late at night, asks the duke to forgive him for not sending him a copy of it till next post.
