Content DescriptionReports a conversation with Mr Say the minister of Hatley who has come to an arrangement about the composition tithes with Sir George Downing; has not heard Mr Jeffreys say anything about the composition tithes of Wimpole; mentions that Robert Hayes of Cumberton has expressed an interest in taking on John Norman's farm as long as a granary is built; believes him to be respectable.

Refers to the high surcharge ordered by the new excise officer on the soap made at Wimpole; adds that Charles [Gunter] will have to swear to the weight in front of Justices of the Peace who will then grant an Order.
