Will save some money for Mr Winn's chief rent and discusses how Mr Winn will account for it; intends to send full details 'of Birch's Roguery' in relation to the tenant Sales when he is well; discusses the characters of Mr Athorp of Nottingham and Clay of Chesterfield who were the earl's counsel in the matter; adds that Birch's lawyers Mr Danvers and Mr Cuthbert have expressed their disgust at his behaviour.
Refers to 'the Villainous attempt upon myself' and asks that the earl writes to Mr Levinz in order to receive his description of the affair; lists the witnesses called by Birch, and the members of the Grand Jury.
