Content DescriptionReports that Mr Wright has advised him not to proceed against 'the Villain Vernon' because of a number of mistakes in the pleadings drawn up by Mr Whitehead, Mr Bootle and Mr Agar; adds that Vernon has absconded anyway so nothing can be done until the Essoin Day; writes that he has heard that at the next Assizes Birch is planning to intimidate the witnesses defending the tenant Thomas Sales.

Requests that the earl asks Mr Levinz to be at the Assizes; mentions that he has not found a tenant for John Marlow's farm at Norton because the applicants are concerned about its state of repair; hopes that Marlow can be prevailed upon to mend it.
