Content DescriptionSends Samuel Jackson with a buck and with the key to the library; writes that he sent Mr Streke to meet Sir Mathew Decker and his Lady and three daughters at Royston; describes the route they took through the park to Wimpole; writes that Sir Mathew and his family were given a tour of the house and were very pleased, especially with the chapel and the library; adds that he did not want to see the gardens; lists the amounts of money given by Sir Mathew to various servants.

Writes that Mr Jeffreys and his family have arrived at the parsonage; mentions that he has heard that Mr Jeffreys is to take a benefice at Ashwell in Hertfordshire; suggests that the pad Monkey ought to be retired or destroyed because of his bad eyesight; adds that Mr Hurrell wishes to have the old pad Buckskins for his workmen.
