Content DescriptionReports that he has received the commands of Harley, while in the place where the 'whole nest of Rebells' against the Harleys' rights inhabit; is giving Mr Soresby all the help he can; reports that as the old bailiff [Swift] is defying Harley by not giving up the keys, they have ordered new locks for the jail; is satisfied that Harley will give immediate instructions to Mr Dixon that the offices be searched daily for any writs that may come against any of the agents or tenants at the suit of the duchess [of Newcastle]; mentions that Mr Gace is with him until the 'storme' blows over and he and Soresby send the Harley's their respects; adds that he has received a letter from Mr Aslabie referring to Wenman's conversation with Mr Walker at Mansfield; goes to Staffordshire tomorrow.
