Content DescriptionEncloses a letter from Mr Gill at Stamford [not present] and refers to Mr Shirley's vote; states that John Whitson of Moreton is no longer a freeholder, but that Mr Pigot of Bassingbourn has assured him that his tenant Rossin of Abington will vote for Sir Humfrey Monox or whoever else the earl wishes.

Writes that a letter for John Wainwright Esq. is waiting at Wimpole; reports that the heat has caused illness among the 'harvest people', and that he has had to send some of the earl's labourers to help with the corn-gathering at John Norman's farm; states Thomas Kettlewell's opinion on the health of the pad called Quaker; has sent butter, pigeons and things from the garden.
