Content Description
Writes that he showed John Whitson and his wife around Fairchild's farm, but that the wife did not like it and asked that the earl would not 'put her Husband to any trouble'; advises that they be allowed to refuse the place as they would not be happy there; adds that Jabez Conder has since requested that his relative take the farm, who offers the same rent and will observe the same conditions but who wants a new barn built and other concessions granted; suggests what may be done instead with the earl's permission; gives details of five bills requested by William Gore to be paid.
