Content DescriptionEncloses a letter about Musson's farm in Alverton [not present]; writes that Musson has left abruptly and therefore the crop will not be so good this year; adds that the buildings are also in a dilapidated condition; mentions that the writer of the letter, Maltby, has been asked by Mr Gace about possible new tenants for the farm; promises to speak to Mr Knight about 'repaires of Sir Thos Hewetts house at Clipston'; remarks that the executors ought to do the repairs before the money is paid to them; recommends Mr Knight as a tenant but states that he will only pay £15 p.a.; refers to the collection of arrears; reports that Lord Bathurst's agent will pay the 12s p.a. after all, and refers the earl to a memorandum about the same left with Mr Bannister.
